Sam & Julia creates children's books, merchandise, craft products, has a store in Amsterdam, and is working on an international animation series. In addition, it has a website, webshop, and online content like our YouTube channel. Our goal is to let children dream away with the stories and images of Sam & Julia and inspire them to start building their own Mouse Mansion. We are a family business that is now taking a step towards growth. We are a highly creative company that is constantly developing new books and toys. Previously, we did everything ourselves, but now the time has come for reinforcement. Will you help us conquer the world with Sam & Julia?
Onze Winkel
In our store in Amsterdam (Muntplein 8), all Mouse Mansion decors made by Karina for the books are on display. Children and adults can view all the decors, ask questions about the construction process, play a bingo game, color coloring pages, and of course, browse all Mouse Mansion books and products. Our ambition is to offer much more to our visitors in the coming years, such as audio tours, workshops, reading afternoons, children's parties, and scavenger hunts.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- You welcome visitors to our store, tell them the Mouse Mansion story, and guide them.
- Je geeft advies over de boeken en knutselproducten en handelt betalingen af.
- Je zorgt ervoor dat een bezoek aan Het Muizenhuis onvergetelijk is!
- Je houdt de winkel netjes en zorgt ervoor dat alle schappen gevuld zijn.
- Je ontvangt binnenkomende bestellingen en organiseert het magazijn.
- You demonstrate to children how to make furniture and accessories for their own Mouse Mansion.

It has become a creative and socially conscious children's brand with an extensive product range that encourages children to be creative. Currently, an international animated series is also in development.
Our office is located in a historic building in the heart of Amsterdam. Here, we work with a young and ambitious team to expand our brand. Fortunately, there's also plenty of room for celebrating successes during gatherings and outings. We regularly plan interesting and creative training sessions for the team, the kitchen is always stocked with plenty of snacks, and our office playlist works overtime (new additions are welcome).
Job Description & Responsibilities
The marketing team is responsible for all communication related to the brand, from press releases to Instagram posts, newsletters, and collaborations with influencers. During your internship, you will work closely with the marketing manager, as well as the e-commerce manager.

Job description & Responsibilities
As a salesperson in the store, you are the face of Sam & Julia's Mouse Mansion. You welcome visitors to our store, giving them a warm reception and sharing the unique Mouse Mansion story (preferably in multiple languages). You are customer-oriented and proactive, using these qualities to assist customers. When a customer decides to make a purchase, you handle this at the cash register. You help process orders quickly and efficiently.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- You work in the store and advise visitors on product purchases.
- You answer the phone and, when necessary, handle email correspondence.
- You ensure that the store looks tidy and process orders in the warehouse.
- You participate in team meetings.
Additional Responsibilities for Sales Specialist
- You analyze sales results and make proposals for improvement regarding promotions.
- You handle (online) requests, orders, and/or complaints.
- You make suggestions to improve market positioning.
- You monitor inventory and place orders.
